BEN MARSHALL

Berklee College of Music alumni, Ben Marshall is an award-winning composer and Creative Director at Found Objects. Most recently contributing as composer to Found Objects Bronze Clio for "Dear Apple" and a Silver Clio for New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Foundation’s Rise and Shine as a Creative Director.

Ben’s music career as a composer started a little differently than most. As a touring and session drummer he would produce music, and remixes in-between gigs for the artists he was playing with. As a former member of Brooklyn based Savoir Adore and also Brisbane natives The Grates, Ben has toured all over the world and alongside bands like XAmbassadors, Oh Wonder, Sofi Tukker, Betty Who, Blondie, TV on the Radio, The Hives, Modest Mouse, and more.

As the years of traveling went by, he began trading touring for time in the studio, thus creating the Brooklyn synth pop outfit Paperwhite With over 10 million streams to date, Paperwhite has been featured on BillboardSPIN, Buzzfeedand more. The project opened doors into music for sync in Film, TV and ultimately paved the way for composing in Advertising.

As Ben’s work in media composition grew, he found himself writing music for some of the world’s biggest brands like Apple, Nike, Toyota, Verizon, MTN Dew and many more. In 2018, Ben was asked to join the team as both a Creative Director and composer at Found Objects.

Throughout the years, Ben has worked on many high-profile projects. Composing and creative directing Apple’s launch of “Apple Vision Pro”. As well as helping to craft a cover of The Kinks “Strangers” with artists Black Pumas and Lucius for Youtube’s “Life In A Day 2020: Strangers on the Road” official launch.

While working under established composers Jay Wadley and Trevor Gureckis, Ben has also had the opportunity to compose for various TV and Film projects. His recent TV work includes additional music on Hulu’s "Tell Me Lies" and upcoming film premiering at SXSW "We Strangers". His film credits include "Olympic Dreams", short film "L’atto Finale" and additional music on "Fire Island".
